Thoughts on preforming in a small space

 PREFORMING IN A SMALL SPACE:

When it comes to preforming in a small space it give us less space to work with so, when making a piece, we have to work around this to create a piece that would be effective even though we don't have much space for movement. This can be quite challenging at first, but once you get into the flow of it, it can become a lot easier.

When create our group chorus piece we were only given a limited amount of space to work with so we had work around this. Luckily our group was small so having a small space to create and preform the piece in was not that impactful on what we wanted to do. But if we had a bigger group of people to that same space it could have made it a lot harder to make the piece feel the same without the stage looking crowded.

When it comes to preforming in a small space it make you a lot more aware of your surrounding and what is going on due to the little amount of space you have. It is quite nice to preform in a small space when it comes to preforming in a small group, however when preforming in a small space with a large group of people it can be a lot more complicated as you have to be more aware of your space and surroundings to prevent the piece from looking crowded or accidently bumping into people on stage.

STRENGHTS:

> Less space for sound to spread to (don't have to be as loud as less room to project to)
> Piece can feel more immersive for the audience

WEAKNESSES:

> Less space to work with
> can make the piece as impactful (sometimes depending on piece being preformed)
