 REHEARSAL BLOG #2:

Date of Rehearsal: 29/11/22

When it came to todays rehearsal, it was our first time working together and feeling the piece, so to begin with we came together to discuss our thoughts on the piece as a whole to see what our own individual views were on it. After this we read through the piece a couple of times so that we could get a feel for it and we allowed our own emotions to interpret our characters so that we could make it feel more natural and to help us at a later date when we come to properly rehearsing it.

For the rest of the rehearsal we came up with a rehearsal schedule that we would be able to follow for our future rehearsals regarding this scene.

Initial response from working with my partner on this scene:

When I first got to rehearse this piece with my partner I got to learn more about how they acted out their character which helped me match the energy so that it worked and flowed similarly to the original piece that we watched. I obviously did not want to copy the original piece we saw as this would not be following how Stanislavski likes to use truth when it comes to creating pieces, and this refers to pulling from your own experiences to create the piece as this makes it feel more realistic.
