Rehearsal blog #4

 REHERSAL BLOG #4:

Date of rehearsal: 9/12/22

Today was the day that we would be performing our pieces to our class and they were also being filmed so that they could be assessed at the same time. So before we went to record them we had a total of 1hr and 30 mins to rehearse and finalise our pieces, which I found very useful as this helped me and my partner especially with the lack of rehearsals we had on it together.

So in this time we went over our scene and kept going over it so we could iron out areas that lacked emotion or did not flow smoothly. Whilst we were doing this we had Claire come up to us and ask us about our characters emotions during the piece and their motivations. Thinking about this helped us make the scene have more purpose and make the characters seem like they had more purpose. When it came to my character I struggled to see her motivation in the piece as she seemed to do everything of the top of her head and in a spontaneous manner, which made it harder for me to see clearly her motivations.

REFELCTION AFTER RECORDING:

I personally believe that our scene went well overall and flowed very well. When it came to my own performance I think I needed to relax and not be so tense when doing it as this did effect my ability to perform the piece. However I believe that me and my partner performed this well even considering the challenges that we had to work around during it.
