In todays rehearsal time we all split of into pairs to work on different scenes for our final piece. Melissa and Emma worked on their dance which included the physical aspect of fabrics, Adama and Saskia worked on their duet that included movement based around a desk, Me and Sam worked on our duologue and explored ways that we could physicalise it.

In todays rehearsal time, me and Sam worked on our duologue and ways that we could visually portray the emotions that we needed to while also creating a script that we could use as a base for this scene so we knew what to say and when.
To start off with we sat down and spent some time trying to decide what we wanted to say and what exactly we wanted this scene to show emotionally when it comes to the two characters. This took us a while as we wanted to try and get a base that we could really build on to create an interesting scene for our audience.
Once we had done this, Our teacher suggested that we tried to add actions to it in the form of over-under-through. We experimented with this in creating a small sequence of this and then adding in our script that we had created earlier, However it did not flow as we desired and we ended up scraping this idea and stuck to a more naturalistic approach. We felt this would be the best option for this scene as it made it easier for the audience to follow what was being talked about along with the fact that it gave the audience a visual break from all of the other dance scenes in the performance already.
Resources used today
In todays lesson not any resources where used other than the working practices of the over-under-through physical theatre method.
Reflection on my contribution to the group and how well the group as a whole worked today
In todays lesson I feel that I contributed the most in my pair for the day and would have liked Sam to have contribute a bit more, however I still believe that we worked well together to make a lot of progress on our scene. When it came to our whole group, we all worked well in targeting multiple scene at once even though it meant we were only really working with one other member of our group and sometimes calling others over to help give feedback on our progress and how effective it was.
