rehearsal blog #9
Date : 22th March
Group members present : Chloe, Sam, Emma, Melissa, Adama, Saskia
In todays rehearsal time we spilt off to work on two different scenes - Ribbon scene and Melissa and Emma's dance scene. In the first half, Me, Saskia, Adama and Sam started on working out how we wanted to put together the ribbon scene and then Melissa and Emma joined us half way through so we could fully create and put this final scene together.

In todays rehearsal, Me and the other members of my group mainly worked on our final scene, the ribbon scene, and how we wanted to executed it. This scene took a lot of playing around to create until we found a scene that flowed how we wanted and looked effective from an audience perspective. At the time of rehearsing this scene we did not have ribbon on us so we had to improvise by using fabric that we tied together to imitate the ribbon that we needed. When we were playing with the idea of the piece, we discovered a lot of things that worked well and some things that didn't work out how we planed. After we had created this scene and the base of it we started adding it to music and adding purpose for all of our characters to be doing what they were during it.
By the end of the rehearsal we has a well put together final scene that would help put our piece to a close that would be readable and effective for the audience.
Resources used today
Today, the only resources we used were the music for the scene along with fabric to imitate the ribbon we would use.
Reflection on my contribution to the group and how well the group as a whole worked today
In todays lesson I felt that I contributed quite a bit when it came to the scene I was help work on. When it came to this idea a was one of the main people that pitched in ideas on how we could execute it and was willing to try ideas that had a slim chance of working out. I would have liked some people in my group to have pitched in a bit more when it came to this idea, but if they didn't completely understand the vision then I would understand why they didn't pitch in much. I think that how I worked today is exactly how I would like to keep working in the rehearsals to come for this piece.
