Moments of discovery or concerns/ problems
When it came to todays rehearsal, it was quite short as we had spent some of the lesson in a workshop about lighting. However when we finally got to play we set off with a base idea. We originally were starting to properly block it out, however we were advised to try and experiment through play. For me doing this was hard as I am very used to doing things when they are planned out so I hope to get better at this. But when it came to playing we actually found some things that worked quite well when it came to looking visually interesting while also bringing across the emotion we wanted to and this was through the manipulation of people during an argument where their moves were decided for them through being placed by another person into a position. When it came to the playing we found that just general shouting arguments where not as effective as we would have liked so from this we knew that we may add less of those in.
Resources used today
When it came to todays lesson used the song that was given to us in that lesson which was;
Reflection on my contribution to the group and how well the group as a whole worked today
When it came to my contribution to the group today, I was the one who came up with the main idea of having a dinning room scene which included all the characters to give the audience a base scene that could be watched by all. I though this would be nice to start off with as then after this it gives the audience the ability to follow who they would like to. As a group we worked very well when bouncing ideas off of each other and helping develop others ideas to make them as effective for the effect that we wanted to develop. I would say that today that we all contributed quite equally except for Sam and Adama who didn't have as many ideas. However as this was our first rehearsal this is not much of a concern. However I believe that today that I contributed well but would like to try to and contribute more than I did when it came to playing with ideas.
